__카인은 식물먹는 농경문화의 상징이다. 아벨은 동물먹는 유목문화의 상징이다. 야훼 하느님께서는 식물먹는 농경문화를 거부하신다. 야훼 하느님께서는 동물먹는 유목문화를 선호하신다.
__04.02 창세기 Genesis. 카인은 농부가 되었고 아벨은 양치기가 되었다. 카인은 땅의 소출을 주님께 제물로 바쳤다. 아벨은 양떼 가운데 맏배를 야훼 하느님께 제물로 바쳤다. 야훼 하느님께서는 아벨의 제물을 기꺼이 받으셨다. 야훼 하느님께서는 카인의 제물을 받지 아니하셨다. Cain became a tiller of the ground. Abel became a herder of flocks. Cain brought an offering to Yahweh God from the fruit of the ground. Abel brought the fatty portion of the firstlings of his flock. Yahweh God looked with favor on Abel and his offering. Yahweh God did not look with favor on Cain and his offering.
